I'm on week 3 of Phase 1 and am love with the program- despite the fact it's kicking my ass lol.

I do have one question though...I noticed in Phase 2 (and maybe in Phase 3) there are times where you work the same body part on consecutive days. Example: Day 1 (mon) you have deadlifts, leg curls, etc. then Day 2 (tue) you do split squats, leg curls, heels elevated squat, etc.
I've always read and been told to give at least 48 hours between working a muscle group. Now I'm sure there's probably a good reason for this program to work those muscles two days in a row, I was just wondering if anyone knew why?

I just always like to know the why and how of things . Thanks!

Those hip/glute bridges and their variants must be the most embarrassing exercises to do in a gym...... definitely need the block out the world ability for those!

Combine program with basketball

Just started the program and am now in week 2. I love it so far, just have one problem. I have time to work out 5 times a week, but I also play basketball twice a week which leaves me with 3 days to work out. Because I can't do this program 5 days a week I just do the workouts in the order they are supposed to but just take more time in between. Since basketball is already a good conditioning workout I was thinking of substituting the bw circuits with basketball and do the lifting workouts the remaining 3 days of the week. This way I could still finish phase 1 in 4 weeks. Any thoughts on this anyone? Substitute the bw circuits or keep doing them and just take longer to finish phase 1?

Balance

I would encourage you to work through all exercises in each phase as is. Balance is obviously clear and the body weight workouts are pretty quick. They should not take longer than 25 or 30 minutes. Basketball is a great cardio workout but the functional training of the body weight workouts is important. That being said everyone is different but I would encourage you to stick with each workout in the phase and use basketball as a additional cardio vascular workout. Heck warm your body up with the body weight workouts before you play basketball! Good luck.

One of the most common questions we get from Precision Nutrition readers is whether we can help them personally. The answer is usually no, and has been for some time. And the reason is simply that there are more people that need help than there are qualified coaches to help them.

But every now and again, we open up a few spots in our coaching programs, and we're now accepting people on the waiting list for our group coaching programs: Lean Eating for Men, and Lean Eating for Women.
