The PN Nutrition Certification is entirely on your schedule, so there’s no deadline. You can take as much time or as little time as you like.

If you’d like some guidelines, however, the pace that seems to work best for most of our students is completing one chapter per week. That means reading the chapter, reviewing the online video, answering the workbook questions, reviewing the FAQ, and writing the 10-question exam.

If you follow that structure, you can expect to spend 3-5 hours per week on the certification materials. Since there are 20 total chapters, you’d earn your PN1 credentials in about four and a half months. Although you can move more quickly or slowly depending on your situation.

But here’s the best part: You don’t need to wait to get certified in order to feel confident and qualified to coach nutrition. Since you’ll be learning and practicing from day one, you’ll be in a perfect position to start helping your clients immediately.

There are 20 short exams with 10 questions each. Questions are either multiple choice or true or false.

The exams are delivered online; they can be accessed whenever you’re ready. Also, each exam corresponds with the chapter you just studied, and completing the exam unlocks the next chapter.

For instance, if you read Chapter 1 of the textbook, watch the corresponding video lesson, attend the live chapter discussion (or watch the recording), answer your workbook questions, and review the FAQ, you’ll be ready to take the Chapter 1 exam. Once the Chapter 1 exam is completed, you’ll instantly see your results and get access to the Chapter 2 materials.

At least 75%, which most students easily achieve or surpass.

By the end of the course, you’ll have written 20 short, 10-question exams, for a total of 200 questions. Get at least 150 of the questions correct (75%) to earn your PN1 credentials. We’ll send your official certificate immediately after you pass.

You can’t fail a specific exam. Your score for the course is cumulative. So you could do very poorly on a few exams and still pass the course as long you answer 150 out of the 200 questions correctly by the end of it.

• UKIHCA: Approved (~70 hours)

No problem. Many organizations accept our course for CEUs on a one-off basis.

To do that, you’ll just submit a summary of the course and a copy of your certificate to the organization for review once you’ve graduated.

Yes, you can now count your PN Certification towards credit at select colleges and universities in the US!

The PN Certification has recently been approved by the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Learning Evaluations.

Here’s what this means for you: If you complete the PN Certification program along with an additional, final proctored exam as outlined below, you can earn 3 session hours (a.k.a. credit hours) at the Bachelors 1st or 2nd year level—in the form of the “Introduction to Fitness and Wellness” course. 2. Contact your college or university to learn about their policy regarding credit for prior learning, and to confirm that you can receive credit towards your degree for completing the Precision Nutrition Certification program.
3. Complete the PN Certification program and pass the Certification quizzes with a 75% total score or higher.
4. Take a proctored, closed-book, final exam that covers the material in the PN Certification, and pass with a 75% or higher. (This is only required for those seeking college credit. Testing service is offered through Gaugeonline.com.)
5. Follow your college or university’s instructions to have the credit for the PN Certification applied toward your degree program.

Not planning on using your PN Certification for college credit? Or live outside the US?
All you have to do is complete the program and pass the regular Certification quizzes with a 75% or higher (no proctored exam needed).
