This past Monday, we wrapped up our latest Men’s and Women’s Coaching groups. And as we wrapped the program up, I was in awe at some of the physical and mental transformations we helped to create.

But, to be honest, although the photos and the numbers were inspiring, I was most impressed with some of the stories.

“It’s about freedom”

I was so scared and intimidated when I started on June 30th.  But I LOVE this coaching program. There is so much conflicting info out there.  Yet, with the PN daily lessons, I’ve been gaining a ton of knowledge. Beyond that, I really appreciate how we are encouraged to turn the gained knowledge into what works for everybody, individually, to help create new habits.  It’s great how we’re not forced to do it one way.

This coaching program, for me, is a journey to FREEDOM, health, balance, and life.  It’s learning to make personal choices that you can live with, despite what other people try to brainwash you with.  What a privilege to be part of this group and program. “I’m Not Perfect, But I’m In Control”

During this program, my eating has been really good.  And I’m totally surprised since I’ve been living on sugar for the past 18 months.  With your help, I made the switch to the 10 Habits.  Now, I am not 100% perfect.  But I don’t have to be.  And I’m doing so much better – I feel really in control.

“No More Binges”

I am so loving this way of eating/thinking. For my whole dieting “career” I’ve always focused on what I was cutting out or restricting.  This lead me to very strict dieting for a certain period of time and then  crazy binges that could last for months. This has been a cycle of mine for at least 10 years.

Since I’m filling up on healthy foods, I simply can’t eat the junk that I used to eat.  Further, since Im not trying to be “perfect” (as I did in the past), I’m doing much better.  It’s because I’m learning so many new ways of thinking with this program.  Thanks for making it available to me!!!!!!!!!

“Making Decisions Based on Knowledge Not Guilt”

I am really enjoying the coaching program. Now, don’t get me wrong.  I’m being stretched and pushed out of my comfort zone.  A LOT.  But I’m getting more and more excited about it.

It is all about baby steps, getting rid of the perfectionism in me, and focusing on progress. I feel blessed and honored to be a part of this program and I really appreciate the coaches’ quick replies, encouragement, teaching and support.

I am not in this to per se lose weight but I feel like a heavy weight is lifted off already and I am about to taste freedom, no more being in bondage to food and the battle of the bulge, no more forbidden foods, worries what to eat, not to eat and no more guilt. I am learning to make decisions based on solid knowledge and I am able to enjoy food now. I am feeding my body, mind and spirit and I am on my way to health.

“A New Lifestyle”

As a result of your coaching, I’m not watching as much television, I’m learning to listen to my body’s hunger signals, I’m doing my own gardening and really enjoying it, I’m shopping smarter and having fun at farmer’s markets, health food stores, and even at the grocery, I can walk into the “burly guy” section of the gym and have fun, I’m reading more, and I’ve replaced soda and coffee with water and green tea.

How am I feeling about the progress? Iʼm thrilled!   I have been steadily gaining weigh over the last fifteen years and finally have turned the tide.

“Putting PN Into Practice”

This program truly rules. I really loved the PN materials, but this program is helping me take baby steps toward putting them into practice in a way that works for me. I love the concept of “outcomes based” nutrition.  I love how the rules are flexible depending on your goals and the rate that you expect change.

After over 2 years of taking antacids and Prilosec OTC my heartburn and related problems are gone.  I was on my way to, an ulcer.  But I’m now acid-free.  And I owe it to my new eating habits.

“Calorie Counting Be Gone”

I’ve gotta say thank you.   I haven’t been counting calories and that’s a good thing.  I feel I’m seeing more changes than I’ve seen in the last few years.  My waist is definitely getting smaller and my clothes fit better.  Energy is up and I feel really good.

I’ve been eating intuitively and following PN rules. Now I finally believe that’s the way to go and I don’t need anything else at this point. I don’t eat calories, I eat food. I use smaller plates or serving sizes than before and go to bed slightly hungry.

I have had 2-4 meals a day with a small amount (about 25g dry oats/quinoa/brown rice or a small slice rye bread) of complex carbs and seem to tolerate that just fine. Since I’m seeing progress, I have no reason to drop carbs lower at this point.   I’ll keep you posted how I go from here. PN HOT BODY CONTEST, here I come!

“Healthy and Strong”

On the health front, my BP is down to almost normal from borderline-hypertensive.  All my blood work came back great.

In the gym, I pulled a personal record dead lift (315lbs) three weeks ago.  I managed 225 for those higher rep sets you had us do last week, so my strength isn’t suffering.

On the food front, I’ve drastically cut my alcohol and tobacco use down to almost none.  (My intake has been 20-40 drinks/week and 5-8 packs/week for most of the last 3 years.)  This has been as challenging as it has been rewarding.

On the mindset front, I don’t hate getting up in the morning, and I look forward to going to the gym most of the time.

“It’s Different This Time”

I’ve tried all sorts of other programs in the past and just watched the scale go up, up, up.   This time, it’s different.  I’m feeling and seeing great results and I continue to get comments from co-workers about my weight loss.

My husband told me the other day that it’s a night & day difference from where I am now to where I began (I tried to not take that the wrong way). Now that I’ve been feeling better/healthier, I started thinking a lot about what I want/what I want to do next.

I’ve decided to train for the Disney Marathon in January, I’ve decided I’m going to go to a rock climbing gym in about a month, and I decided that I’m going to go for my Master’s next Fall. I plan to continue with PN rules e.g. eating clean, working out min. 5 hours, etc. for the rest of my life.

“I Know I Can Commit”

I am thrilled with the results of this program. Yes I have lost wt and body fat and the measures are moving in the right direction.  But for me it is much more than that. It is knowing I can commit myself 100% to something FOR MYSELF (which is hard for most women to do) and succeed. Thank you so much for offering such a fantastic life-changing experience.

I love the coaching program; I can’t believe the 180 degree shift I’ve made in my nutrition and fitness habits.  I feel fantastic and you’re right – I’m making great progress.

For the most part, it’s all been so easy! Even this morning I was down another 7 pounds but I’m rarely hungry and have great energy.  The best part is that I’m not overly focused on the numbers but on how I feel.  I’m more interested in making long term changes to my habits so I feel I’m getting both great mental and physical results.
